This winter we will be offering a great monthly opportunity to work on specific skills to our customers.

Active Sea Kayaking will be offering sea kayak instruction all winter long, in the Victoria area and in the Cowichan Valley area. We have decided not to pre-book any dates and locations yet, get in touch with us and we will aim to please.

The current and surf clinics will be one day long and usually run during weekends. Currents programs will probably take place in Victoria (or Dodds Narrows) and the Surf programs will take place on the west coast, location pending on weather and surf conditions!

Paddling in dynamic waters will open a new world… bring some excitement and allow you to go new places. Tidal currents are fun and ever changing, they’ll keep challenging you and make that learning curve shoot up. Work on your edging, bracing, turning…. and rescues too most likely!

The surf zone is a must for fun, action, or if you plan to paddle and land on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Learn the basics, know how to deal with launching and landing in the surf zone… And maybe get hooked with it all!!!!

Participants are required to call ahead (to reserve boats and gear)
This is also a way to build a paddling community, meet other paddlers and decide on some dates for a social paddle ….
