VIDEOS

TALK ABOUT FUN, INSPIRATION, IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME.

Really, I think most of the videos listed bellow are good to watch just for entertaining value. But they also open the door to paddling as an extreme sport, a way of traveling far and unsupported, all those side of kayaking that the public never hear about.

They can do it, you can do it, and it’s so much fun I cannot emphasize how much I’d like you to see it! Those movies take you to far away locations, to kayaking in surf, tide races, and there is always some footage close to home (if home is Vancouver Island of course).

Here they come!

This Is The Sea: “My name is JUSTINE CURGENVEN, I wanted to make a video to show that sea kayaking is exciting and dynamic, here it is”. This is how the movie start, and she did very well.
Here are a few reviews:

  • At last a film that shows the true thrills, freedom and fun of sea kayaking. You can feel the spray, taste the salt in the air. You’ll actually feel like you’re in the cockpit with the kayaker. By Jason Smith, Editor of Canoe and Kayak UK
  • Aimed at the serious coastal paddler or any fan of big water moves, Justine Curgenven’s fast-paced celebration of the sea kayaking lifestyle is a perfect cure for the pending winter blues. Her exuberance for all things kayak is more than evident in the fast-paced production of this excellent video. While far from an instructional piece, one cannot help but learn from watching the on-water antics of folks like Maligiaq Padilla, Greg Stamer, Ginni Callahan, the Nigels and a host of others.
